This book is absolutely the best way you could spend your money if you have chronic pain! There are so many things we do without realizing it that can cause chronic pain or exacerbate ongoing conditions. Easy to follow, simple, advice to help you have days with less or no pain! Great exercises- stretching techniques that help you relieve muscle tension and retrain your muscle memory.

How do you sit at your computer? In what position do you sleep at night? Do you sit too long at a time without getting up and stretching your muscles or changing their position. Does that ache in your hip come from the fact that you are crossing your legs without realizing it? Is your posture while watching television responsible for the pain you have in shoulders and neck?

When you get the book and read it, the light goes on in your head and then you say to yourself "hey - maybe that is happening because I am doing "xyz". Then you apply the suggested techniques to alter the situation, with no additional cost- seriously minimal effort - why would you not want to do this?? The exercises work. Stick with them, monitor yourself. If you are doing something unconsciously ( I was crossing my legs exacerbating hip pain - it did not hurt while doing it but hurt terribly afterwards when I try to sleep ) ask a member of your family to point it out to you when they see you do it.

I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this book. It can help you!

This book reflects exactly what the author practices and advocates in real life. In 2008, I found Nancy through other friends who recommended I see her because of debilitating back pain. After months of physical therapy, with no relief, I was totally frustrated. When would I ever golf again or take a long walk? After meeting Nancy, I learned about sleep positions, posture and stretching and I learned about trigger points. Although I was a bit skeptical at first, I had no idea how such "simple changes" would ultimately have me playing golf again within weeks and eventually experience a pain-free back. I highly recommend this book for anyone suffering from chronic pain. It works!
