Its dramatically updated art program, more streamlined presentation of material, and integration of chapter objectives will help you better visualize and understand the structure and function of the human body. Elaine Marieb’s clear and friendly writing style emphasizes the relevance of anatomy & physiology to your life and future career. The book clarifies concepts, defines key terms, and offers just the right balance of anatomy, physiology, and clinical coverage to make the content complete without being overwhelming.
Elaine Marieb wrote this book specifically for the one-semester course and continues to carefully select a range of material that proves just right for the shorter course. New information on hot topics like the HPV Vaccine, Infantile Polycystic Kidney disease, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) draws students into the material.

If you are looking for the copy with the CD-ROM MAKE SURE it says CD_ROM in the description. I bought this under the assumption since it was a "new" book that the CD-ROM would come with it. Found out I was wrong. So now I have to spend more money to get the CD-ROM which is about $35. The book it's self is a pretty good book. Just don't get the wrong item.

This is required reading for a class I'm taking. The content is well organized. Language is friendly. Easy-to-understand illustrations and tables. Helpful self-tests and summaries are included with each chapter. The companion online module, Mastering A&P, is fantastic. There are a lot of planned redundancies between all the study aids, which I really appreciate; they help me identify what's most important.
