Got to tell the truth here, I know better than to judge a book by its cover buuuuuuut when I saw a tomato with teeth and the tag line with the words, "Secret Recipe", I clicked away without even reading the description. Ironically, that weird image of the tomato/teeth stuck in my head for so long that I started to search for the title again using terms like "Dentist Tomato" and "Tomato Marketing" and it did not come up at all. Shortly thereafter, I ran across the book in my recently viewed items. To cut a long story short, I was hooked at first chapter! This book is concise, easy to read, and demonstrates some very out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to what really makes patients choose me and my practice over other nearby offices. Sales psychology and referral influence strategies normally bore me to no end but this book had me saying, "Why did I not think of that?", over and over again. Kind of a kick to my self-esteem after a while. LOL. I really appreciate how the authors understood the dental industry down to micro details and came up with clever solutions to turn what feels like industry disadvantages into leverage over my bait and switch competitors. I am very glad I bought this book, read it from cover to cover in a day and going for third 3rd round with my notepad this time. Worth every penny! I would love to hear from the authors about the thought process behind the tomato with teeth cover. Was that made to plant some type of NLP seed in my head or to stick out against the ocean of dull book covers in the same category?

Referrals are the life blood of my business so I really enjoyed reading their perspective. One of my favorite parts of the book is their discussion on how to influence and persuade prospective patients so that they truly get to know, like, trust and fall in love with doctors and their practices before the initial consultation. This excerpt from Dental Marketing Motto makes a lot of sense:
