In addition to reviewing standard statistical analysis, the book has easy-to-follow explanations of cutting edge techniques for evaluating interventions, including propensity score analysis, instrumental variable analysis, interrupted time series analysis and sensitivity analysis. All techniques are illustrated with up-to-date examples from medical and public health literature. This will be essential reading for a wide range of healthcare professionals involved in research as well as those more specifically interested in public health issues and epidemiology. I bought this book because impression in "Multivariable analysisn". As a primer clinician researcher, I may not in good position of in-dept content reviewer. However, I really impressed in writing style which be conversational, problem-oriented and pragmatic. For example, the topic "How do I account for subjects who do not adheer to their treatment". My favorit part is "cluster randomization". However, because the author avoid content that overlap with his other two books ( multivariable analysis, study design and statistics - it migh not satisfy who need comprehensive or indept content. Overall, this book is good to read for establish good attitude and overview about intervention study.
