Just started in a cath lab and needed to brush up on hemodynamics. This book was too basic for my needs. I wanted to know more about normal/abnormal values and strip tracings associated with a rt and lt heart caths. There is none of that in this book. The only section that I found helpful was about balloon pumps. This book would be more suited to a newer nurse starting in a critical care area.

I bought this second edition thinking that it may provide more up-to-date info on hemodynamic management, but was disappointed to found out that it is not different from the one publishsed in 2006, which is the one I bought in 2009.
