I looked forward to this edition since it was first announced since I have relied on the Primer heavily throughout residency. Unfortunately, I don't see much of a change between the 4th edition and the 5th, other than the 5th edition actually contains less information. If they have updated any sections, it sure isn't noticeable on first pass. It's the same old stick diagrams that have been in the last two editions. I was really hoping for some updated or new ones, since I find them helpful, but you won't find any new ones in this edition. And the online access is a joke as the reviewer above states - it is really really slow and keeps logging you off, making it impractical to use at your PACS workstation as a quick reference. Elsevier is not very responsive to these complaints. I wish I could return it and save the money.

The online access is a joke. I cannot access it from my android tablet, the pages wouldn't display properly, and the login keeps requiring a password reset. Now i can't access it at all. the online help support was useless, they told me that expertconsult.com isn't made to work on android based devices, but that i need to use a normal computer... unfortunately, i did try this approach, and it does not work either. i am currently trying to resolve the issue. i guess i could read the actual text book, which is really good, but the whole point is to have it when i need it.
