I have read the book in details, practiced all the drills and I was so impressed on how it was presented. i was DEMYSTIFIED!

HOWEVER, as I go along I have noticed bunch of errors, like

1. Page 59. Practice drill number 9. use MICRO DRIP tubing. but in the answer key (page 61) they used 15 ggt/mL as the drip factor. it contradicts the information given on page 56. MICRO DROP tubing ALWAYS has 60 gtt/mL as the drip factor.

2. Page 66. IV bag CURRENTLY has 100 mL of Lactated Ringers. But, in the sample computation they used 50 mL instead of 100 mL.

3. Page 76. the answer in number 3. SHOULD BE mL (9 mL) and not mcg.

4. Page 84. number 2 question: medication order Benylin 25 mg/kg/day. however in the answer key they used 50 mg (page 85)

5. TYPING ERRORS

page 34. number 1. medication order Vitamin B12 1 mg po daily, medication label Vitamin ???what??? 500 mcg per tablet

page 37. number 1. letter b. A half of a table (should be tablet)

page 50. number 7. the question was asking for tablets. but the options are in capsules.

These are just some of the errors I've noticed. typing errors are forgivable if its only few and minor. but if the typing errors causes confusion to the learner and resulted to contradicting answers then its a problem. Also, it's only a 194 page book and why not prof read it before printing.

Overall I like the book and I was literally demystified (I've only read half of it for 2 days and I learned a lot). What frustrates me are the errors that should have been given detailed attention by the AUTHOR before publishing.

The book is very helpful to both the beginner and the advanced learner.
