Wow! This book was an easy read with very practical advice for managing a dental office. Dr. Anzalone keeps it interesting by telling you his story and encouraging the reader to avoid his mistakes. He covers topics like hiring staff with positive attitudes, beginning a relationship with a CPA, and marketing your practice. If you get 1-2 pieces of practical advice from this book it will be well worth the price. If you get ONLY 1-2 pieces of practical advice from this book, I will be surprised.

First thing, guy is a periodontist, so it's a different story than a general dentist, which should be noted.
He describes his business advice as hardcore... HAH!
First, it was written badly and jumps all around.
Second, each section was essentially a obvious part of dental practice, with him then explaining ways of going about it. The methods seemed to be either very obvious like - Be frugal when buying equipment - or obscure like - we used X company to do it.
Written very situationally and personally.
If you want to know how Dr. Anzalone runs his perio practice, buy this book. Otherwise at best you could obtain some interesting tidbits. If you want real hardcore business advice about how to open or take over a practice, you're wasting your money.
